Marilyn Monroe 100th Birthday Celebration Palm Springs
A GLAMOROUS TRIBUTE TO HOLLYWOOD’S GREATEST ICON
Step into the platinum glow of Old Hollywood at Marilyn 100, a centennial fan festival honoring what would have been Marilyn Monroe’s 100th birthday. Hosted by Palm Springs Pride from May 29 through June 1, 2026, this high-glamour celebration transforms downtown Palm Springs into a living tribute to the woman who became a symbol of beauty, resilience, and authenticity.
Join the official Guinness World Record attempt on May 30 as organizers rally 500 participants dressed as Marilyn to shatter the current record of 254 look-alikes. Every registered participant receives a Marilyn Icon Kit complete with the signature white halter dress and platinum blonde wig. Enjoy Monroe-themed programming at local restaurants, galleries, and hotels, along with a dazzling drag brunch at The Saguaro Hotel.
Monroe’s connection to Palm Springs dates back to 1949 when she was discovered at the Racquet Club, making this desert city the perfect backdrop for a centennial celebration of love, visibility, and timeless glamour.

Shortfest 2026
A world-class showcase of short-form cinema

Palm Springs comes alive through a bold new creative lens at XOXO Palm Springs, a twelve-day citywide festival running June 11 through 22, 2026. This inaugural arts and culture event transforms the city into an open-air cultural playground, activating theaters, galleries, historic landmarks, boutique hotels, and outdoor stages across the desert.
From live theater and contemporary dance to immersive visual art experiences and live music at unique venues like the Palm Springs Air Museum and Annenberg Theater, XOXO Palm Springs celebrates the artists and visionaries shaping the desert’s creative future. Set on the ancestral lands of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, the festival honors the region’s deep cultural roots while inviting visitors to explore gallery walks, tribal cultural experiences, and pop-up performances throughout the city.

Head Trip Festival 2026
A one-of-a-kind electronic music takeover
Get ready for Head Trip, a two-day electronic music festival from Goldenvoice landing at the Empire Polo Club in Indio on October 10 and 11, 2026. Billed as a one-time-only event, this focused desert gathering features a single stage with no overlapping sets, so you can catch every performance from start to finish.
The stacked lineup includes Calvin Harris, Swedish House Mafia, Skrillex, Peggy Gou back-to-back with Four Tet, Dom Dolla back-to-back with Kettama, The Blessed Madonna, DJ Harvey, and Fisher with Chris Lake performing as Under Construction. A major highlight is the U.S. debut of the Floating Points-designed Sunflower Sound System, an immersive audio installation housed inside a specially crafted dome tent running all weekend long.

Celebrate at “The Dinah”, the world’s largest queer women’s festival, held annually every September in Palm Springs’ sun-soaked Coachella Valley. This iconic LGBTQ+ event blends celebrity-hosted pool parties, live concerts, and empowering networking events all held at the Margaritaville Resort, only four miles from Azure Sky Hotel.
