OUT-OF-OFFICE-ISH

Technically You’re Working. Nobody Said From Where.

A 14-room adults-only hotel in Palm Springs built for the remote week — Wi-Fi that holds a video call, kitchenettes in 12 rooms, private patios in 11, and a pool that’s ninety seconds from your laptop.

The Spare Bedroom Isn’t Working Out

Remote work stopped being a novelty and became a floor-plan problem. The desk is in the bedroom, the good light is in the kitchen, and the change of scenery you actually need doesn’t exist inside your own house. A workcation solves it cheaply: same job, same hours, entirely different window.

Azure Sky is built for that in a way most hotels aren’t. Twelve of the 14 rooms have full kitchenettes, so you’re not expensing three restaurant meals a day. Eleven have private patios with hammocks, so there’s a second workspace outside your room. It’s 21-and-over, so the pool isn’t a soundtrack problem during your 10 a.m. standup. And with only 14 rooms, the Wi-Fi isn’t split with 300 other guests.

Where the Laptop Goes

Your Private Patio

Eleven of the 14 rooms open onto a private patio with a table and hammock. Best for heads-down morning work before the desert heat arrives.

Lobby & Bar

Indoors and air-conditioned, with a fireplace and a cocktail bar — the default room for calls, working sessions, and the afternoon slump.

Meadow Courtyard

Up to 40 guests, 3,400 sq ft. Open grass and a fire pit, shaded enough for a laptop in the morning and the obvious place for a team dinner once the day is over.

Pool Terrace

Up to 40 guests, 4,500 sq ft. Resort-style pool, a 12-person hot tub, and a bar — the space guests use most between working sessions.

Same Eight Hours. Better Backdrop.

The point of a workcation isn’t to skip work — it’s to put the work somewhere that doesn’t drain you. Here’s how most guests actually structure the day.

7–10 a.m. — Patio hours

Coffee from your kitchenette, laptop on the patio table, the quietest and coolest stretch of the day. This is when the real work gets done.

10 a.m.–1 p.m. — Calls in the lobby

Move indoors for meetings: air conditioning, reliable Wi-Fi, and a backdrop that doesn’t need a virtual blur.

1–3 p.m. — The long lunch

Pool, relaxing hot tub, or a walk through Warm Sands. The middle-of-the-day break your house has never once given you.

3–6 p.m. — Courtyard finish

Wrap the day under the palms, then stay for the fire pit. Downtown Palm Springs is a short drive when you want dinner out.

Workcation FAQs

Is the Wi-Fi at Azure Sky good enough to actually work from?

Yes — property-wide Wi-Fi covers the rooms, lobby, courtyard, and pool terrace, and it handles video calls. Because Azure Sky has only 14 rooms, the network isn’t shared with hundreds of guests the way it is at a large resort, which is usually what makes hotel Wi-Fi feel slow.

Can a remote team book Azure Sky for a work-from-hotel week?

Yes. Blocks of 4 rooms or fewer book normally; anything over 4 rooms converts to a full property buyout, which gives a distributed team the whole hotel — 14 rooms, pool terrace, courtyard, and lobby bar — for up to 40 people.

Do the rooms have a desk or a work surface?

Twelve of the 14 rooms have a full kitchenette with counter and table space, and eleven have a private patio with a table and hammock. Most guests working remotely end up on the patio in the morning and in the shaded courtyard or lobby bar in the afternoon.

What’s the best length of stay for a workcation in Palm Springs?

Sunday through Thursday is the sweet spot. Midweek rates are lower than weekend rates, the property is quieter, and a four-night stay gives you three full working days plus travel on either end without burning vacation days.

Is Azure Sky adults-only?

Yes, Azure Sky is a 21-and-over property. For a work-from-hotel stay that means no pool-splash soundtrack behind your 10 a.m. standup — one of the practical reasons remote workers pick it over a family resort.

How far is Azure Sky from Palm Springs International Airport?

About 10 minutes by car. Azure Sky is at 1661 S Calle Palo Fierro in the Warm Sands area, a short drive from downtown Palm Springs restaurants and coffee shops.
